‘Rain’ by Devereaux Frazier

Simple and plain
Washing down your window pane
Hear the downpour
See lightning, hear thunder roar
Cover your ears
The wind is getting near
It washes away the trash
Giving the ground a needed bath
Feel the rain drops in your hair
Breathe in the refreshing air
Washing away the pain
That I see through my window pane
The sights that want to make me go insane
Making my heart drain
